Capitol Grunt Proxies

I have over 2000pts of capitol I'm just itching to get on the battlefield.  One problem though, no grunts.  I have Assualt Marines, Free Marines, Wailing Banshee, Rangers, Sunset Strikers, Orca, Great Grey, and Purple Shark, but all I have in the way of grunts is 3 dogs, a handler, and 4 airborne rangers without a sgt.

Just before orders stopped shipping I ordered the last of what I needed to finish my capitol army (2 HI regiments, 1 LI regiment, and the HI specialists pack), of course we now know doors have closed and my only hope of finding Light Infantry, Heavy Infantry, and Airborne Rangers is on the secondary market.

Since I don't feel like sitting around and hoping that they pop up on ebay or bartertown I'm looking for good proxy suggestions.  Any good suggestions would be appreciated but I would be most greatful to anyone who could provide me a link to pictures.

As much as I hate to suggest it.

The Void Syntha Marines and Viridian Marines lines (bear a slight resemblance to Free Marines don't they) fit in rather well, even the weapons look remarkably similar.

Vridian Marines (i turned some of these into Desert Infantry for Warzone 2cd ed)




Syntha marines ( alittle putty work is required but the boots are spot on)

  What about using the new mongoose Light Armored Mobile Infantry for SST? They are nice sculpts and you get 20 metal sculpts for around 20 bucks. You can do Buy it Now at ebay stores. i have picked up 4 boxes of them.

from the picture, the auction looks to be one HI box set, one LI box set, a squad of Sea Lions and an assortment of Free Marines.

Ahhh good ol' Void.  Source of some great Warzone proxies. :)

Now, I just need to find more Viridian Marines.

If your still looking for grunts under Warzone buy it now there are 13 boxes of Light Inf. and 23 boxes of Heavy Inf.

Actually I ordered 2 boxes of Light infantry and 1 box of Heavy from Prince August three days ago, so I'm all set now.

I also picked up 2 boxes of Ashigaru, 1 box of Wolfbairn and 1 box of Undead legionaires to round out my 500pt mishima force, 1000pt wolfpack force, and to add some Horde options to my Muawjhe and Illian armies.

Their e-bay store has a warzone special running until this weekend I suggest everybody take a look and take advantage of the discounts while they apply.

I got about 14 boxes total of assorted Light and Heavy Infantry from them, and it got to me in a little over a week (8 days, to be exact).

I may have gone a little overboard with the squad boxes, but now I can field 1500 points of grunts. :)

  I slipped in a few sets of Bauhaus mounted Hussars at the last minute. Been wanting those for quite a while.
