Single model morale check
« on: June 13, 2006, 03:06:51 PM »
If a single model must test for morale, how do I deal with the rest of the squad, for morale purposes?
Or in all cases where it would seem from the manual that only a single model should test for morale it's in fact the whole squad that tests for morale?

It is the whole squad that checks, and the check is at the end of the squads turn.

Things like the V-120 delivered donnerschlag AV pod...
"Models who survive a Donnerschlag impact and those within 4" of an impact must make a panic check as if the impact was a dire 2 attack".

If only one model in the squad is in the affected area (not the sgt) does the effective LD change or it's still the same as usual?

If only a single model is within range of a panic or morale damaging event ie a, then only that specific model is affected.

so i test for panic for the entire squad against the damaging event with the usual LD?
Or i test for panic just the single model (so i can have a single model in panic while the rest of the squad isn't)?

If the effect is from Dire, and is due to loss of a squad member, the entire squad checks.
If the effect targets a squad then anyoen that is in command distance must make the check.

If it is targeted at one individual model, or the unit is out of coherency, then yes, one model may panic while the rest of the squad is fine.  He may attempt to rally using a friendly squad Leaders LD when he returns to Command Distance.

Thanks joe.
And what if is only soldier of the squad affected. When he is back in command distance, must sarge make attempts to rally him or just paniced soldier with sarge LD?
