stormtrenchers

hey guys, i have heard of this troop type but dont have any info on stats, weapons,  special abilities... do i need to have trenchers first? i went ahead and re-posted this to warzone category. i accidentaly posted it to chronopia. please help me out!

Storm Trenchers are Paradeploying Elites and all are equipped with Mandible shotguns except the specialists who are either HMG's or FT's.  The only requirement for them is that they have a grunt squad of equal size or larger first.

thanks!!! when you say grunt squad, you mean trenchers not regulars right?
oh yeah, where do i get a buttload of extra shotguns?!

erm.. exactly what version of warzone are you playing?  Both Trenchers and Regulars are grunts.

i play 2ed. in wolfbanes before you have berserkers you must have commandos. it doesnt say regulars. i like how the system wont let you have more elite squads than regular/grunt troops. very rank and file/lots of guys to kill/no cherry picking the best only for your army. i just wanted to stay on that theory!

aah... well..

stormtrenchers are Elites and the only qualification for them is to have a Grunt squad of equal or greater size.  at least by UWZ standards.

I got to see some of greens before the fall of EE
Very sad. They would have been the best models that would have come out of EE.

  Indeed.  They, along with the Inhereitor Cav (those were sweet!!), would have been among the best of the models released by EE.

  A good conversion format for Stormtrenchers is to take the Imp Regulars, add the Wailing Banshee jetpacks and swap rifles for Mandible shotguns.  If one cannot find mandibles, lop off the magazine and bulk up the barrel of the invader on the fig or get another company's shotgun and greenstuff the drum mag.

that site is cool! i looked around and besides the butchering of troops we cant find in the states(they ripped em up!see the konvrjyionista lejionisca?...)i enjoyed the pix.stormtrenchers look cooler than i imagined them!
