What can be done with the left over material.
« on: March 14, 2006, 05:40:53 AM »
Now that we know Wz is going to be spun off into a completely different type of game/rules system. Can all the original material put together by EE and be place in public domain? Can we put togther a fan supported Warzone.org and continue to grow the game ourselves?

And can someone talk to Thom about maybe donating the forum database to us fans so that maybe someone else can keep the board alive?

Problematicaly, the Warzone/MC properties can not be put into the public domain.  They are owned bit and parcel by Paradox Entertainment.  The Dark Symmetry system (though poorly named) is (or was) an EE owned and that can be used.

now the good news.  The forums are maintained and hosted seperatly from EE's main page and THom has pledged to keep the forums active and alive as long as possible as they'll be the primary support lines for his baby, UWZ.

That said, I'll see what I can do and where I can do it as far as keepin UWZ running in some capacity, support or future updates or what have you.  The best thing people can do is write into FFG and state that they would like to have support for the previous lines of minatures games.  FFG has a great track record of dealing with customers as well as for producing top notch games.  WHo knows, maybe they can go the Battle tech route and release supplements for UWZ (classic) in addition to Mage-Doomtrooper.

Already in the works.

Mage-Doomtrooper

Hahaha! Priceless.  Joe you've just brought some levity to what would have otherwise been a pretty downtrodden day (Warzone wise anyway)
