Broke out Ultimate Warzone this Saturday and sat down with a couple friends at the game shop and had a friendly game. Four force vauled at 500 points each. Bauhaus and Imperial took joint action against some Dark Legion horde forces and a detachment of Ilian Templars with some children cannon fodder. Much talk was had about the kickstarter Prodos is running but I won't get into that as this is about triumph and tragedy of megacorporations fighting the tide of evil.


On one side we had an Imperial deatchmant of IDFM regulars with a Hurrican walker facing off against some undead legionnaires and necromutants with a Gormorran Emasculator for support.











The other end had Bauhaus Ducal Militia supported by the famed Venusian Rangers squaring off against some Wheeled Templars and two groups of Children of Ilian.







I was playing the Ilian forces and tried for my classic pincer movement of flanking on either side with Templars coming up the middle to rain unholy Kratach assault rifle gunfire down on the melee. My dice this game were typically horrible and the plan just sort of collapsed on itself as the Ducals laughed at the pitiful melee of the Children and the Rangers managed to site in on the Templars and use their superior skills to rake casualties through the line.




The undead legionnaires would hold the line most of the game and repel any attempts at the Imperials to put them back in the ground where they belong.





Measuring through buildings? What's the ranged combat penalty for shooting through whopping great windows?









The Golem of Darkness and Emasculator move up to absorb Imperial gunfire while the Necromutant with Tormetor flame thrower moed up to flank and unleash hellish fire on the Imperials.





And the Wheeled Templars think they can outshoot the Venusian Rangers and realize they are very very wrong on this account.











At the end of the game time we found that Bauhaus had wiped the Ilian forces out while the horde Dark Legion had effectively routed the Imperials. It was fairly much a tied game when we ran out of time for the day. Much fun was had by all and as we were packing up a cohort of mine showed up and he was running Warzone that day as well. We talked for awhile about the game and plan to get together to roll some 20 siders and continue the battle of megacorporations against the unyielding tide of the Dark Legion.
