Capitol Assault Marines
« on: November 20, 2011, 01:46:24 PM »
Hey All!

Wanted to share the latest unit from the painting table.  I am trying some new techniques, including adding a bit more bright color, and using Devlan Mud ink.  Wanted to get a little more detail than the last unit I painted, but not going too crazy on these.   I still need to clear coat the unit...but once that is done, they can go into the display case.

Enjoy!

Well done! Nice job with the highlighting and blending. Not over-highlighted (like GW style) but still very visible. The highlights on black turned out good as well; always a difficult color to highlight.

Nicely done, dude.  I like them a lot!
If sing, sang, and sung, sink, sank, and sunk, and drink, drank, and drunk, how is it that it isn't bring, brang, and brung, think, thank and thunk, and ding, dang, and dung?

Don't even get me started about bad, badder and baddest.  Run, ran AND run...again?  C'mon!

Great work! Thanks for sharing!
Always look out for number one, but don't step in number two.

Lovely paintjobs, the pics a bit wee, but from what I can see, they look very nice!

Thanks Rob.

I will take a new picture and post.   I think I tried to get too many angles and poses in the original shot, and ended up trimming off too much.

I know that feeling I have all the Battlelores even through I have yet to game with them all each time the expansion came out I got it, it does help that my mate runs a distribution company for games so I get them at trade price :)

I'd love to have a free space like that to store and game in  :(
