Bayonets load outs
« on: February 05, 2006, 03:25:14 PM »
Hi as stated in the rulebook some rifles can have the optional Bayonet Load out attached to them its states which can have load outs in the Lists of the assualt weapons.

But my question is when using a bayonet in CC is your CC still -4 if the rifles CC is -4 as thats really for firing in CC or is it now the -4 + what ever the bonus for the bayonet afixed is?  ie if the bayonet gives you +1CC you are now -3  Just clarifying what i think it would be.

Yes.  Reason - you are still doing the weapons listed DM.
If sing, sang, and sung, sink, sank, and sunk, and drink, drank, and drunk, how is it that it isn't bring, brang, and brung, think, thank and thunk, and ding, dang, and dung?

Don't even get me started about bad, badder and baddest.  Run, ran AND run...again?  C'mon!

page 127 : only sidearmes can be used to shoot in CC

page 131 :

"Rifles can only be used as ad-hoc clubs in close combat to strike and are a bit clumbsy"

"Assault Rifles are, with exception of the Belzach and the Yari Shogun, unwieldy in CC"

Yari has a ST modifier, Belzarach not..

->
a) CC-DAM = ST

b) CC-DAM = RC-DAM of Weapon (so a very heavy clumb ^^-> Snipers and HMGs are even heavier clumbs ^^)

???

Äh.. yes.. but my question still is..

Do Rifles (and Co) without a ST-Modifier do  DAM = ST  or DAM = RC-DAM.

And.. why? ^^

Unless stated in the special rules of the weapon the damage from clubbing with a gun is the same as if you shot them.

-cough-

my contribution to this discussion as I put it several threads and months ago.

Quote
if no CC weapon, one handed firearms/smg's/melee weapons or natural Attack, then model may make unarmed CC attacks at -4 CC and ST DAM.  Rifles, HMG's, two handed Ranged Combat weapons etc that have a CC stat make attacks at ST DAM.  Bayonettes do full listed weapon damage plus any bonus's
