As i said, the only reason one can give to explain their value is if you take into account the unit's ability to rather reliably pop a 100+point vehicle as they are deployed.

The sergeant an assured attempt (you choose where he goes) and blitzers can choose the location they hit on the vehicle with their demo charge (crew or fuel being the obvious choice).

What i meant by the "Beast of War" curse was that they were basically released as a form of counter to that expansion book's new vehicle units and little else.

The unit will scream "epic fail" against any army that doesn't field vehicles (or flying ones for that matter)

It does not explain their cost.
Demo Charge cost covers the single use ability to damage exact part of the land vehicle.
Standalone grenade launcher MKII with AP grenades has the same cost, greater range, better damage and is not single use.
You mean that fielding minimal (3+1) squad of Blitzers (221 points with one demo charge) to destroy (if you are really lucky) a vehicle worth not more than 150 points and die screaming is a good solution?
I would never waste my points to field any Blitzer even if my enemy had only vehicles.

The Blitzers suck as they are and I understand what you meant in the other post.
I'd like to know what would you do with the Blitzer stats if you could.

Heh... I must admit that I never thought that way...

My porposal is:
- Blitzers have amout of Demo Charges sufficient for the duration of battle included in their cost.
- Blitzer must use his CC to place a Demo Charge on a vehicle, and LD to "get the hell outta the way" (this changes nothing in Blitzers themselves as thay have the same CC and LD but is more fluffwise)

I think that one restriction is needed.

- Each Blitzer may use only one Demo Charge per activation (I mean squad of 5 Blitzers may use 5 Demo Charges - one each)

How would you keep track of that?
If sing, sang, and sung, sink, sank, and sunk, and drink, drank, and drunk, how is it that it isn't bring, brang, and brung, think, thank and thunk, and ding, dang, and dung?

Don't even get me started about bad, badder and baddest.  Run, ran AND run...again?  C'mon!

Sorry I don't understand you. ;D

You ask how do I keep track of using Demo Charge?

I have no problem to remember while performing third action if the Demo Charge was used during first or second action :P

Now seriously:
I think you misunderstood me.
Every Blitzer can use one Demo Charge per ACTIVATION (once a turn), not per GAME.

My apologies:  I misunderstood you.

I assumed that you were saying, "One demo charger per model per game."

I agree with you that it would be simple to determine whether a model used a demo charge during one activation.
