As for the name of Talamania V -- I humbly suggest "The Big Kahuna Strikes Back". There is a story and inside joke to that name....ask Thom when you see him on the forums  ;D

Cool, I am sure I will get a kick out of the story.

I was thinking also:

"The environment strikes back"

or

"Revenge of the d20"

I was able to assemble the fourth terrain piece last night. 2 pieces are 100% completed (just have to paint the shut off valves and add control panels).

New pictures:

I should be able to work on these again tonight.

To actually start on the 18" x 18" boards (4 total) I really need a good weekend without the wife and kids to assemble the components in the garage. I also will need the next molds from Hirst Arts to complete the 4' x 4' terrain board.

I will continue to assemble and keep working on it. It will take some time but it is worth it.

Three pieces are 100% (very small amount of finish work left)
4th piece is primed grey
5th piece - assembly started

Pictures to follow.

Thanks Josh.

I have now:

3 finished pieces
1 wash stage
1 assembled ready for primer
1 being assembled

Pictures soon

Update:

5 finished pieces
2 washed 100%
1 fully assembled

After these 8 are 100% complete, I will have enough to start the first of four 18" x 18" modular terrain pieces. I will need another 2 molds (of the next 5 I am purchasing next month) to complete the board. The floors will be painted a different color. I wanted to keep everything grey/metallic but I think it would be better to paint the floor a different color. Most likely I will spray with a grey primer, wash with a black satin stain and then dry-brush with either a orange/earth tone with silver/metallic mixed in or a 50/50 mixture of Dwarf Bronze/Burnished gold. I saw these color schemes on the Hirst Arts website (new Space Hulk floor plans etc).

Another decision I have to make is on the other 3x6 and 6x6 floor pieces. I want to permanently place terrain on these (at least a good majority of them). I do not want the pipes I spent a lot of time on to move/tip over during a game. The issue I have is this would limit the set up variations for these pieces and sometimes the game dictates less or more terrain on the board. I think if I did permanently mount the floor pieces with terrain and left some without, the players could place them according to the game situation. I would then have to make additional floor pieces. Not a huge deal but I want this finished for Talamania V.

I will now have to assemble a 18" x 18" section and see how the 8 pieces fit on it.

Time to start pouring molds again.

Finished all 8 pieces last night. Pictures of last piece and all 8 in storage to be posted soon. I was able to pour all 5 molds at once last night. I will limit it to 2-3 molds per session from now on. I just wanted to see if I had enough room to do all 5 molds.

I will continue to pour casts to replenish what I used for the terrain pieces and start to stockpile the ones I need for the floors and future industrial pieces.

The fun continues.

Continuing to cast all 5 molds at a time. Fun fun fun

I will cut it down to 2-3 a night.

I am ordering only 3 molds now (fundage issues) but enough to complete this project of course.

I will start to assemble the floor and outer shells for the first 18" x 18" terrain piece soon.
