Which models need an update (Warzone)
« on: January 30, 2006, 01:46:26 AM »
In the Chronopia Forum is a the same threat.
So Warzone has some model calling for an update too, I think.

Here are my candidates:
Nearly all single crewed vehicles. They are to cheap and to good. Esp. Vehicles like the
Battlewalker, because you can buy two of them for one support slot.

High Priest Amaterasu: She is a healing machine. Far to good. Especially compared to a normal
Medic, which is the next candidate, a Medic is nearly useless.

And here are some Capitolians, because I know them best.
Sea Lions: To week, Colbys Guard does the same and is better. Survival Training and Guerilla is not very usefull.
Only the Sniper rules.
Desert Scorps: How should they get into the range to fire at the enemy?
Purple Shark: A worse Great Grey.
Light Inf: If I want good Grunts I take the Heavy inf. If I want cheap ones I take Freedom Brigs.
Airborne Ranger: On our field Airborne is much to difficult. Most of the squad is meat for the enemy after the deployment.
Marines! Lets kick some A S S!

I believe the Chronopia thread was about which models were most in need of being resculpted not which needed to have there stats or rules changed.  In that light these are the models I think most need resculpting, Death Angel, Necromower, and RAMs air Cavelry.

As far as rules and model statistics there isn't anything that I feel needs changing or couldn't be overcome by a well built force and good use of tactics.

here are my resculpt candidates:

1.) RAMS Air Cav...or as I like to call it "The Flying Crapper"
I still am planning to make a conversion of this by Origins...might not make it this year...

2.) Brotherhood Mystic
Looks like a Gray form the book "Communion"

3.) Mishima Hatamoto HMG

4.) Demnogognis Cairath
Do I really need to describe what this looks like?...

5.) Brotherhood Death Angel

However, I would rather see some of the things that are not in production (Stormtrenchers, Ronin Battlewalker) made before seeing these resculpts...I can deal with ugly minis...they are easier to deal with than having to make conversions (I'm good at painting, not at making)...

B.
in dire need of a resculpt myself...

Well Cairaths are mindless, gibbering and babbling big blobs of rotting, diseased flesh with tentacles and metal parts sticking out. Did you expect a supermodel? ;)

I like the Cairaths but I still felt the need to spice them up with bits and parts.  ;D

There's a lot of Brotherhood figs I'm not too fond of. The Rams Air Cav is pretty much my least favorite figure out of the bunch though.

I assume you are talking about the old big headed ones? Those should IMO have been retired long ago. All the newer hood minis are great the Troopers for example and the Mortificators too.

All it needs is some work - i am sure that Kudlaty (he's registered here) will be more than happy to post pics of his Air Cav - it is very good, and the conversions are very simple and easy.

I agree 100% - on both counts. The Necromower is my least favorite because I LOVE the concept art and the idea...but the "Bannana Split Buggy" sculpt really doesn't do it justice. The RAMS itself is fine...the constipated pilot needs replaced. The Death Angel....ouch....just ouch. Add in the Brass Apocalypt and that would be my picks

One day, I'd also like to see a new TA-65000, new Destroyers, new Hatamoto, Mecha Variants and (finally) a Praetorian Stalker that *really* captures the artwork. The last sculpt is good...but the picture is one of my all time favorites in WZ....

...any thoughts on 15mm scale Warzone minis? Just sit back and imagine the entire Warzone line done up in 15mm. You could field twice the number of models in the same tabletop space as you could with the ones we have now.
Anyone?

this would need another game system than as you wont be able to move single soldiers anymore. I prefer if Exselsior focus on other things atm  ;D

Mishima Dragon Pack needs an update... the are a little bit better than the Capitol Dog soldiers, but the dragons are handled as support.... Why ? in my oppinion they have to be grunt, because the are as good as a grunt squad.... No other cooperation has such a weak squad as support....
They are in front of me, beside and behind me....

Hey Bag, every corp has units never fielded. Mentioned this in another thread already.
What I think more irritating is a bunch of verying warrior monks that donīt get through if there isnīt a block to LOS so that they reach CC.
