I believe that they were made for a large-scale Seige of the Citadel.  Inspired by a large-scale Space Hulk setup at Dreamation (a New Jersey game convention), I believe that Thom asked the guys who had done it to do these for SotC.

Yes, that is what they are.. and by "large scale" we mean 1 FOOT tall! I have seen 1 model that was made for it, but, sadly, i dont think it ever went into production...

VeezCon products:  Not as good as if they had been actually produced by a real figure company, but better than using your shoe to proxy with...sort of!
