Barking Spyder gas. 1 st ed

Does the barking spyder gas eliminate the effect of a gas mask? Or is the gas mask still used to save the unit?

Yes the gasmask is useless the gas goes through the skin.

 Always liked the idea of the Barking Spiders.Would have been cool to have seen miniatures of them.
