Recruits, Spring '10
« on: January 28, 2010, 07:54:18 PM »
Hey all,

With all the discussion of where the eastern cons have moved to and how they conflict with each other, I'll put the word out on my local con: Recruits.  It's March 26-28.  I'll call it "The Con nobody will attend from this forum" due to its location in eastern Kansas City.  The site's address is www.recruits-con.com.  It's a weekend of fun historical, sci-fi and fantasy gaming for a mere $5!  We pull about 400-500 people, depending on the weather.

While I won't be running WZ, I've been able to find WZ and other mini gaming products for cheap, cheap, cheap prices.  This year I plan on running the naval Battle of Trafalgar from the Napoleonic era (73 ships!) and probably a game of Full Thrust.

Do you have another engagement?  A military engagement perhaps your highness?

Okay, that is a poor bastardization of Star Wars.  Perhaps better to say a more personal engagement, or has the engagement part already past, hmm?
VeezCon products:  Not as good as if they had been actually produced by a real figure company, but better than using your shoe to proxy with...sort of!

Tatooine, the base is on Tatooine.

Yeah, but beware the Ewoks; stand up to the little beggars, and they'll run off - all talk and posturing.
If sing, sang, and sung, sink, sank, and sunk, and drink, drank, and drunk, how is it that it isn't bring, brang, and brung, think, thank and thunk, and ding, dang, and dung?

Don't even get me started about bad, badder and baddest.  Run, ran AND run...again?  C'mon!
