Yup, you're getting some applause for that brilliant priming setup.  Nice work!

Very slow progress, but progress nonetheless...

Got a highly anticipated package from across the pond, and the minis practically jumped right onto the game table:

A band of Wolf Axemen laying low...

Partially glued Scavenger on the hunt...

and a Keeper who really likes pets...

On to the painting table...

Started painting a couple of bases to make sure I had the sand effects right.  First ever painting attempt by my son is the Drugged base!  Then we moved on to attacking the Starved skin.  As expected, brush control is tough right now for my son, but he's trying!  My goal here is to have the Starved skin look like a ...well.... starved version of my grunt's dark grey.  Went with some pale greyblue followed by a black wash.  Think it came out OK.  Hopefully once I get my colors figured out I will be able to crank out a bunch of these.

Oof......picture quality is not great.  Been using my camera phone lately...might have to go back to the digital camera.

Like the colour scheme you have went with on the Starved.

Dwarfs are starting to make an appearance.Looking forward to seeing them with some paint on.

I have a big box of Stygian that need doing.Your take on them will be a great place for me to pinch idea's from.

Those are really looking good!
Always look out for number one, but don't step in number two.

Progress has been really slow -- I've hardly got any painting done in the last month.  But I have the good fortune this weekend of actually playing some games.  Here's a battle in progress...

One of my buddies made the hill pieces years ago.  He's the one that introduced me to Chronopia.  He peeks into these boards from time to time.

A weekend of gaming lit a fire under me, and I got back to the painting table.  I finished up my prototype drugged and starved.  I'ts not my greatest works ever...a bit sloppy...but they turned out OK.  Some mistakes I just let slide on these, as I really just wanted to get these things done.  Used very few colors.

Now time to crank out the remaining 9 drugged and 15 starved!

oof these close up pictures with my cell phone does my paint job no favors!

I would not worry about these being your best work.At least you are painting them. They will make the better armed troops look better. The drugged are not the best miniatures.Really basic sculpts.

Youe friend has done a great job with the hot wire foam cutter. Will have to get one myself now.

I just realized the GW discontinued their line of washes with Devlan Mud and Badab Black.  Of course, that happens just as I have become dependent on them, and my bottles are only 1/4 full.

Anyone know where I can track some of these down?  Or a good replacement?  anyone use the new GW "shades" yet?

They renamed them

Agrax Earthshade = Delvan mud.

Nuln Oil = Badab Black.

People willing to trade their freedom for security deserve neither and will lose both.

Have you used them?  I've read that they behave differently than the old formula?
