Lucky 1's Painting Stuff
« on: January 11, 2010, 09:38:29 AM »
OK OK, I will start to paint my figures again.

I am having alot of fun with my terrain and chariot. Now is the time to start painting for Talamnia IV.

What is neat about my 750 armies is there are several squads the same.

Painting priorities:

1 Light Inf Squad w/ grenade launcher
2 Light Inf Squad w/ grenade launcher

Pictures of progress to follow

Always look out for number one, but don't step in number two.

I am working on:

3x CD sized bases tree
3x CD sized bases jungle
6x 60mm base tree
6x 60mm base jungle

If you want a step by step instructions they are on terrain ideas thread in the Warzone discussion topic.

Thanks

Project 1 - 2x LI squad plus GL

Primed White - Ready to paint.

I will be using a combination of G.W. paint/washes with a tudor satin dipping technique on these.

Basically I will wash were it makes sense to wash with the new G.W> washes - limited color selection and dip on such colors as yellow, green and brown.

The above list will get me my first 750pt Capitol for Talamania

Additional options:

Maj Torres
Ranger squad w/LMG
Sunset Strikers w/ Flamer
Sunset Striker Captain
1x Purple Shark

1000pts option:

Assault Marine squad w/ HMG

Good question. Right now they would be of primed white figures. I didn't think anyone wanted to see them yet. I will post my progress on this thread. I will be painting the army while trying to complete my capitol chariot also.

Photos of initial 750 and 1000 point armies:

Well now they are primed and ready to paint. I plan on using G.W. and Reaper Master series paints, G.W. washes and "The Army Painter" stain.

Yes, they are the older HMG for the Regular INF (1st edition) I like to use them over the Heavy HMG for the Orca dismounted HMG. They kind of stick out better. I plan to paint the Orcas and have each dismounted HMG match the general scheme of it's corresponding Orca (or number them).

Like my signature say's - the entire Capitol Army.

Hopefully I can start to paint them this weekend. I plan to do a squad at a time. Light INF should be first.

I always wondered about that!
VeezCon products:  Not as good as if they had been actually produced by a real figure company, but better than using your shoe to proxy with...sort of!

Looking sweet, I wish I had some of those light infantry minis to my Capitol army. :P It's a challenge to get your hands on the Light/Heavy infantry grunts now days.

I am very lucky (excuse the pun) that I own the entire line (that I know of) Capitol figures. I did trade away my last two Pegasus scout bikes, but I have never used them in battle.

I had a good source of them and all Warzone third edition figures from the store in Claymont DE (The Rogue's Den). It has since closed down.

Glad you asked. I was working on the last night. I needed to remove some of the mold lines and I need to hit the models again with some paint on primer.

I plan on painting a squad at a time. The first squad will have a grey scheme to it. The second a blue scheme to it. I will take pictures and post soon. Thanks again.
