Envirionment rules.
« on: January 24, 2006, 04:29:06 AM »
Recently we've been trying out the envirionment rules in preparation for a Bauhaus/DL mini-campaign and a few points have come up that have made me go 'humm'.

1) One of the players spends a lot of points on loadouts and bought the Hazmat suit AND the gas mask to help mitigate the envirionment, is there any limit to how many of the Grunt/Elite loadouts you can buy for one trooper?

2) Bit obvious this one but it will stave off arguements, does the gas ask and hazmat suit stack?

3) Can Vulcans benefit from the Envirionment Suit loadout (seeing as they're battlesuits)?

4) Do vehicles have to roll for envirionmental effects?

That's about all I can think of at the moment, hope you can help quickly as I have to put a hold on things until this is sorted.

Thanks.

1) One of each available type (have you seen anyone weraing 3 or 4 gas mask at the same time? ;) )
2) Yes
3) Yes (you may treat it as improved version of the suit or better set of filters, oils etc.)
4) Good question. I would say yes but people I play with point out that as vehicles are immune to environmental weapons so they are immune to environmental effects as well.

No, though they are sill subject to weapons jams and movement penalties, if the environment includes them.
If sing, sang, and sung, sink, sank, and sunk, and drink, drank, and drunk, how is it that it isn't bring, brang, and brung, think, thank and thunk, and ding, dang, and dung?

Don't even get me started about bad, badder and baddest.  Run, ran AND run...again?  C'mon!

would an enclosed vehicle, like an Orca or a Hurricane, have to roll for environmental gas effects then?
