RP-187 Rocket Packs for Wailing and Martians

Just a rather quick question on these.

The Martian banshees use these with a movement of 2/6* where you can sacrifice one inch movement to jump one height band higher, so 6 " = 1 " up, 5" = 2" etc.

But what are the rules for the Wailing Banshees? They got MV 2/5* but with no explanation if they have any different movement rules (which btw comes later in the rules as the Navy is before the Ground forces. Took me a while to figure out where the rule was.)

Since I'm presuming the fluff about editing the rocket packs with cybertronic technology is mostly fluff, then where did that 2/6 inch movement go? Or do they actually have any other benefit like easier reach a higher altitude? (like you can chose to be on height band 1,2 or 3?) Else I'm wondering why they got decreased movement at all...

All flyers trade 1" of level flight for 1" of vertical.  Nothing else supersedes nor changes that, to my knowledge.

I think their base has a PX/BX AND a Commisary. Just a thought.

So standard rules for rocket packs apply. The upgrade of the rocket pack simply made the rocket packs less useful than the original 5 inch movement vs 6 inch movement?

The slower MV is due to a heavier AR?  Yeah, that's it, heavier AR eqals slower MV.  It's logical and it makes me look like I have a clue!  I'm sticking with it.  ;D

I like the BX/PX explanation better.

Why walk when you can ride? Why fight when you can hide? Go mechanized .. I mean roketized??

BX/PX? I am unaware of the meaning of this.

Sorry,

A BX/PX is a store commonly located on most (if not all) posts or bases. (Army - PX) (Air Force - BX). PX stands for post exchange, BX for base exchange. Kinda like a small Wal-mart but with military stuff also. Some are called BX/PX if the Army and Air Force share a post/base.

Being in the Army I would say I prefer the PX by itself.

The Army does the dying while the Air Force does the flying.

heh, I'm still not really sure what you mean with it in relation to this. -_-

But I'm getting a small idea that their packs would be of less quality because they got so much bureaucracy or something similar? Buy cheaper goods that can do less -_-

Either way:

So the suggestion why it is like it is that the Wailings got more AR (1) than the Martians and that this costs them some in MV (-1). The upgrade talk is just fluff and gives nothing. (using cybertronic upgrades seem to do nothing these days, it's just more bling bling <.<)

Sorry for not explaining better.

A lower movement would mean a heavier soldier (able to visit both stores and buy food. A commisary is a large grocery store). I was trying to make a fuuny since I did not have the answer and not a member of FAQ team.

I will try to use the Wailing Banshees and see how they do soon.

Oh... lol. And here I was expecting something a bit more related like a factor to Base movement vs Point cost or something else. :P

They will probably do well since they have specialists and quite good RC along with movement of 5.
