Thom and Glenn,

Let me know what you think of the game.  It has a pretty big following, so there might be something to it!

bartertown.com is also a good site to keep an eye on.  I see lots of trade offers there for AT-43.

...sigh...clearly I do NOT need another miniatures game...

I surely will let you know.  If it turns out crappy, I am sure I'll find a different game to play with it.

Question to self - How many minis is too much?

How many minis do you have but never actually played the game it came from.

When you look at a mini do you think - I bet if I did this to that and added that it would be a great this hmmm.

Well if you have answers to the above questions you belong to this forum.

My personal anwers are:

1. Never have too many minis.
2. You can use these minis to play games- bonus dude.
3. I think that alot.
Always look out for number one, but don't step in number two.
What do you mean Flash Gordon approaching? OPEN FIRE!

I mostly buy miniatures because they look cool.Game background also helps loosen the wallet.Nearly always buy into all factions or releases too.If this is not an addiction I dont know what is  ;D.

Nearly placed an order for several packs.

The walkers they have are very cool and nice paint jobs too.

I have two of the starters and several packs of miniatures to go with them but still not played a game.

Coleman, you fellow minis ho, if you ever come to the States, bring an empty suitcase, as any of us at or going to Talamania would be willing to help.
May the Dark Lords of Lead-Free Pewter smile kindly upon you.

I have literally crammed games and miniatures into almost every nook and cranny in the basement.

Plus, money is running short after the latest round of games acquisitions...

...so no AT-43.

But that does not mean I am not tempted by the big discounts and nice looking figs.

Brad I know what you mean about miniatures all over.I think I have them stashed in every room in the house. Also the attic.

Josh when I come over I will end up need ing more cases to go back with  ;D.

The Karmen are nice miniatures I have a couple of the first boxes released.

Too many miniatures and games to stick with just one or two  ::).

Just a good job I dont smoke or drink much.

I have been trying to assemble a good way to store my minis, thankfully prepaints store very easily.

Glenn,

Your last comment got me thinking....

It would be nice if there were a source for a box with small compartments within the larger box, something like a Plano, but would need to be cheaper.  It could even be made out of cardboard, as larger plastic storage boxes are readily available at office supply/hardware stores.

Anyone know of a good, inexpensive source for something similar?

I have a display case for my painted figs, but for pre-paints, it would make sense to be able to pack 50 figs in a small box, that would stack, and then the stack  fit neatly in a larger storage bin, or even on a shelf in the games area.

Deep thoughts this afternoon.

I us ethe shoe-box sized plastic drawers you can get from Wal-Mart for prepaints, does perfectly well, I use Plano's for some though, I would get a lot more if it were cheaper, but transparency would be a must for me, so the generic planos it is.

My AT-43 starter arrived.  For the price I paid it was a very good deal, and I can see getting a lot of use out of it.  The game appears to be solid enough, we'll see how it holds up after I play it a few times.  Even if we don't like the game, the starter set provides a perfect figure selection for a game like Guncrawl.  Enough heroes plenty of aliens and a big stompy robot to destroy as a boss, plus a few artifacts to explore.  Overall pretty slick.

The thing I didn't like about it is the box, overall a very large waste of space, everything was well packaged, but it wasted so much space.

I could see myself getting another starter for bits, or else expanding on what I have through boosters for a variety of games. I wonder if they'd work for Warzone?
