« on: April 28, 2009, 01:45:47 PM »
Just in case anyone missed out on all the AT-43 deals when Fantasy Flight dumped the line....

New developments.

http://theminiaturespage.com/news/239527/

....and   www.tanga.com is running an AT-43 deal right now, and will be running a mega deal sometime after the current Red Blok deal is done.

www.thewarstore.com has most of the stuff around 50% off.  Also check www.miniaturemarket.com  or just google it, most of the hits should be around 50% off.

Good deals for proxy's to follow correct?

The prices might be okay for those of you over there. But I am not sure how much postage would be for the lot I want.It is good to be able to get a free miniature if you spend over $100.00.

You need to find an agent in the US to buy them and repack them into International Flat Rate boxes to cut your costs

Shipping overseas for the just about anything from the US to anywhere else has become prohibitive.  I shipped a copy of a game last year to a nice fellow in Italy.  The game was $80, and shipping was an additional $45...and that was for the cheapest shipping possible.

Italy never counts for shipping, it's always obscene no matter what you do.

It is not just the postage but the custom charges too.Fantasy Flight games had some great deals on the miniatures too.But they would not post to Europe.

They have some very nice crystal pieces for AT-43 just a bit expensive.

They should deffinetly release the miniatures on the sprues as more people would buy into it then.

How do we discover future Tanga deals, I am not really interested in the Red Blok, but the deal would be perfect with any other faction.

Glen,

I am on Boardgamegeek pretty much all day, and they have a running ad on the left hand side of the page that always has their latest deal.

If I see them running a deal on any of the other AT-43 factions, or something else that seems cool, I will try to remember to post here.  Tanga deals are a mixed bag, and they will run a boardgame type deal every once in a while.  I have picked up Exalted: War for the Throne, Return of the Heroes, In the Shadow of the Dragon, Axis and Allies D-Day and Guadalcanal as well as some other, and usually the prices are pretty good.  For some games, I have ordered multiple copies, as Tanga charges flat ship rate whether you order one, two or three items.

That's more than I'd be willing to drop into a game I am not sure I'd play.  But I'll happily buy the starter set and give it a whirl.  Which I just did.
