Origins Events 2009

The following are the games submitted to Origins 2009. Barring some unknown problem these should run as posted. If there are any changes I will edit the list here.

Heavy Gear - Betrayal of Honor
In the Badlands, 2 rival patrols meet by accident.  As is the code of warriors on Terra Nova, the Champions of each force meet in ritual combat.  During the duel, a shot comes from outside the duelers, a Gear is hit, and open combat breaks out.

Ultimate Warzone - Over the Top
The life of a common grunt trooper is a daily grind of shelling, bombardment, and survival despite the best efforts of the enemy and the attempts of the high commanders to gain just a few more meters of ground in the trenches.

Operation Boomerang
After the failure of negotiations between the giant mega-corporations of Capitol and Imperial, open conflict between the two has begun.  As the Cartel do their best to find a way to cease the hostilities between the two before the other major mega-corporations find a way to get involved, fighting has broken out all throughout Mars, and the city of San Dorado is no the site of some of the fiercest fighting.  In the outskirts of the Capitol capital, Imperial troops have managed to overrun a Capitol position and capture Colonel Edward Frank, a member of Capitol high command that was reviewing troops at the frontline as Imperial forces launched an assault over into the Capitol side of the city.  Now, as Imperial commanders are preparing to transport the colonel back to Imperial territory as a prisoner of war, Capitol agents locate the position of the colonel, and the Capitol commander draw up Operation Boomerang to retrieve the colonel before he can be taken into Imperial territory to be interrogated fully.

Chronopia - Return of the Weird
The Tribes of the Sons of Kronos prepare to celebrate the return of their beloved Weird. They have a feast set up and waiting for him. Strange thing though, the Shadow Tribe has joined the celebration this year. The Devout are also rumored to be in the area, but why? Can the Weird make it in time to sort things out and kick some @$$ if need be?

Ultimate Warzone - The Hell Fire
Bauhaus has established an artillery base high up in the mountains and is shelling the Capitol front lines. A Capitol incursion team has discovered the location and must take out the artillery before Bauhaus decimates the Capitol main force.

Saturday 2000 – 2400 (8PM – Midnight)            Players:   2-5      Hours: 4

Ultimate Warzone - Swamp Intrusion
Researchers on Mars have discovered an unusual event. Meteors from the asteroid belt with no point of origin have been landing in the swamp thirty K (30Kliks) from the Bauhaus Central City. A team of research investigators were sent to investigate and never reported back. It could be capital trying to boot us off this world or any number of things. We need to find some answers. It is time to send in the troops. All
materials will be provided and rules will be taught. New players welcome.

Chronopia - Desert Demons
We have an opportunity to observe 2 of the Firstborn's greatest enemies. The newly awakened Stygian that treats mankind as cattle, and the Devout wishes to control mankind. Our orders are to observe and report back strengths and weaknesses of both sides and not get caught.  We followed the Devout into the desert for three days and I see signs of dust storm ahead. This may be what we are looking for, a battle between two demons. All materials will be provided and rules will be taught. New players welcome.

Chronopia - The Long Trip Home
Infighting and a long search has been very successful. The altar is now in the possession of the Sons of Kronos, tribe of the Goddess. The word has gotten out and the trip home maybe even longer. The question is what will you run into on the way home? In the shadow of the swamps there are dangerous plants and enemies everywhere. What will get you first, freedom, plants, or the enemies of peace? All materials will be provided and rules will be taught. New players welcome.

Morrow Project - Missouri Sails
You’ve finally found the Missouri, now all you have to do is to convince the Admiral to set sail. The challenge is to ready the ship, clear the entrance to the Bay, and find a crew for her. Sounds simple doesn't it! You didn’t join Morrow Project Recon Division because it was easy. Recruit the needed manpower to equip and sail the Missouri. All materials will be provided and rules will be taught. New players welcome.

Chronopia – Assault on the Scarab’s Lair
The One King foretold that unless the Devout were denied the ability to create warriors from those who fall in battle against them, humanity would be defeated. In his vision he saw a remote temple, deep in the lands of the Devout that is the key to stopping the misuse of the dead. A Firstborn army has been dispatched to destroy the temple and eradicate the menace located there.

Chronopia – Belly of the Beast
Having found the temple and defeated the minions of the Devout who guarded the entry, the main force of the Firstborn enters the labyrinth located beneath it. It is here in the dark underground caverns that the One King has foretold that a critical battle in humanity’s struggle against the minions of the Devout will be fought. Can the Firstborn defeat the threat and give humanity a chance for continued existence or will the Devout extinguish the last hope of humanity?

Chronopia – Rear Guard
As the main body of Firstborn battle for the future of humanity in the caverns beneath the temple, a small force valiantly holds the entrance against Devout reinforcements. If they fail the main Firstborn army may be overwhelmed and destroyed.

Chronopia – The Way is Shut
Finally reaching the main chamber the Firstborn must now overwhelm the last defenses of the Devout and destroy the means they have of creating the undead soldiers that threaten to overwhelm humanity.

Necromunda – The Law of the Gun
Having been declared outlaw by the Guilder Court, five of the worst gangs in the Underhive choose to attempt to tame a recently uncovered area of the Down Below. Any of them who survive 5 years will be pardoned. However, until that day the only law they will answer to is The Law of the Gun.

Car Wars - Poker Run
Car Wars explodes into a new dimension – 30mm miniatures. Seven duelists compete in a Div 20 cycle duel where there are two ways to win: 1) be holding the best poker hand at the end of the game; or 2) be the only duelist alive when the smoke clears. No trikes or sidecars allowed.

Ultimate Warzone – Hostile Takeover
Imperial Corp has learned that a mine holding claimed by Cybertronic is vulnerable as negotiators head to the Cartel to file a letters of incorporation. An Imperial assault force is headed to the mine to seize control as Imperial negotiators scramble to file a counter-claim. Will Imperial’s policy of acquisition by force prove successful or has Cybertronic lured them into a cunning trap?
