An old player found!
« on: March 03, 2009, 08:05:49 AM »
So I was at the monthly gaming night held at the local high school on Saturday night and got to talking to a guy that used to play 1st edition WZ.  He loves the game, but sold off all his stuff.  He now primarily paints figs and makes terrain, but rarely plays games outside Recruits (i.e., twice a year).  Perhaps if I can get my stuff painted, he'll play.  Perhaps not.  Only time will tell.  Anyway, I was excited to find someone with any knowledge of the game, regardless of the edition!

There's a lot of people in the hobby that don't game anymore due to time and real life constraints.   I was chatting with David Soderquist today on the phone and he's the same way about gaming.  He's too busy working on his Bronze Age range to really game much.

Here's hoping you've found an opponent.
May the Dark Lords of Lead-Free Pewter smile kindly upon you.

No, sorry.  He was unaware of this forum.  I then promptly wrote down the URL for him.  Perhaps we'll hear from him in the future, but I wouldn't count those chickens just yet.

There's more than a few "old" gamers in this forum.  ;)
If sing, sang, and sung, sink, sank, and sunk, and drink, drank, and drunk, how is it that it isn't bring, brang, and brung, think, thank and thunk, and ding, dang, and dung?

Don't even get me started about bad, badder and baddest.  Run, ran AND run...again?  C'mon!

"Ducks" right back at you Dave.
Always look out for number one, but don't step in number two.
