Moral Check : Independent and vehicle
« on: January 08, 2006, 07:07:31 AM »
Independent must make a moral check when they lose half or their wounds, must it remake a moral check for each new wounds?

A vehicle it is subjected to moral check?  If so, must it also remake a moral check for each new wounds?

Sory if my English is not always correct, it is not my mother tongue.

Remember that a vehicle must also refer tot he vehicle damage chart after it has exhausted all of its safe wounds!

UWZ Rulebook Page 94

Beeing on or in a Vehicle does foster a sense of safety, even if it is a false sense. Therefore, Vehicle operators and Crew are unaffected by Morale Issues and need not roll to avoid Dire ratings and/or panic until the Vehicle has lost its last save wound and would be required to roll against a dire effect.

So it seems Vehicles arent affected by panic but they have to test against dire after losing the save wounds and ofc rolling on the vehicle damage chart (wich kind of equals Panic but is more similar to an AI effect from cybertronic wich dont have to roll on normal panic tests as well).

I think you have missed that when you lose your last safe wound you have to roll both moral and dire. Correct me if im wrong, thats how we play anyway.

Well it says: roll against a dire effect. Ofc we can interprete that they mean panic as well (but this would be pure guessing as they only named dire) ^^.
As i see it the Vehicle Dam Chart is the Panic roll for Vehicles as its already very limiting them.

cheers^^

When you lose the last Safe wound you can be affected by both Dire and Panic.

Makes Vehicles kind of crappy with having to roll two times (more chances to fail, lousy LD ratings for the Drivers). So it seems only the Vehicles with more than one Save Wound are worth taking for the game  >:(.

Can Officers Rally paniced vehicles than ?   ::)

I'm perfectly happy with my great Greys and yes, officers can rally vehicles.
