Frankly I always thought that mounted troops should be handled by counting all the mounts attacks as secondary attacks of the rider. After all the primary focus of a trained mount is to keep the rider in the saddle and fighting. I never liked the thought of a trained war animal just thrashing about.

I am looking for a little advice here, what kinda of powers do you consider "Core" to any game or race.  While I have a lot developed, I am choosing not post them to see what you say, this will give me an idea of what I need to make sure is there, as well as see what others see as core.

When you say "powers", do you mean types of magic?  Or, do you want race specific sorts of "powers"?   Or both?
