Great gaming gods of pewter madness.
Always look out for number one, but don't step in number two.
What do you mean Flash Gordon approaching? OPEN FIRE!
The entire Capitol Army.
Don't ever say anything but a 20 before rolling the dice.

Just heard from the caster - all the current greens have arrived, the molds should be finished in about a week.

I had a slight delay while figuring out some numbers, but the production molds are getting spun tomorrow - my latest greens will be in metal by this time tomorrow!  (hopefully they'll be in my hands soon after that!)

To think that I use to live with that mess.  Remember your "studio" apartment near UAF and having all that stuff?  Ah, those were great days.

And more pics of the Vulture Clan Totem based on Adrian Smith's artwork for Empire Chronopia er, um... "Mutant Terror Bird" sculpt by Tyson:

One of the legs still needs skin texture, and there are issues with the leg joint (figuring out how to cover it up), but it's nearly finished!

What do you guys think of the spurs on the legs?   They match the art, but seeing them in person they look a little long.  Then again, it's super simple to clip them short and file them sharp if you want shorter spurs.

I also finally (ACK!  I was late!   :-[ ) paid for the castings today, so they should be in the mail to me shortly.  Peafowl, spears, shields, venus idol, I'll have them all soon!

Nice.  When this one's finished, and I settle up with Topkick, I'll prolly place a group order with some folks around my way.

Oh yeah, I'll be picking up one of those "Mutant Terror Birds" ;) if they are offered.  It is coming along very nicely.

More stuff for the future - my Pterro-men!  Psychic Pterodactyl men of the Lost World...

The sculptor, Jack Wolfe, says that he'll start work on the "Pterro-man" sculpt
tomorrow, and he's confident that he'll be able to finish it quickly, so I
figured I'd share the concept art with everyone.

This piece of artwork by Frank Frazetta is one of my inspirations:

As well as the supervillian Sauron in Marvel Comics, and an old episode of Johnny Quest that had a tame Pterodactyl in it.

Here's a detail of some of my original horrible little sketch artwork:

And here's the final art that the Jack sent back to me for approval:

One of the notes that I sent back to him:

The figures will have slightly shorter and more awkward-looking legs than are
shown in his finished piece - proportioned more like chimpanzee legs rather than
human or reptile ones.

I make no promises or predictions regarding final price or release date!!!

And I'd be interested to at least listen to any feedback that anyone has.

A very cool idea Alex. They remind me of the flying things from an old film.I cant remember the name but they wrapped their wings around people and ate them then dropped the bones.

You're thinking of the winged creatures from "Beastmaster", perhaps?  I loved that movie as a teenager (mmm... Tanya Roberts...)

I know that wink icon in the world of minis Andy.  Go forth and conquer.  I'll have to pick up that movie if I find it in the bargain bin somewhere.  It's not as good watching as an adult, but there were some cool parts.
