I'm glad to hear you're on the mend, Alex.....but that is just awful. Good that you'll be compensated though. Get well soon.....

Here's a link to my friend Rob's painting site - he lives here in Fairbanks and has painted a bunch of stuff for me over the years, and he'll be painting a lot of the "official" Forge of Ice catalog miniatures.

He's available for commission work!

Heh... man, "official" Forge of Ice catalog miniatures" sounds so pretentious.  They'll just end up sitting on top of my TV next to my DVD's... :)

And another green pic, just a quick snapshot I took with bad lighting, but you get the idea, I think:

They're flint-tipped primitive spears.  I'll be sending them off to the casting company later this week, along with a simple ancient shield and two turtle-shell shields (large and small), patterned after an Alligator Snapping Turtle shell and a Razorback Musk Turtle.  The Alligator Snapper shell shield is about accurately sized, but I had the sculptor exaggerate the size of the box turtle shell - I liked the look of the shell, and it'll be about right size for a buckler.

I think it's important to always give the sculptor credit for their work.

So would you say his sculpting is, "Spearior?"

And the turtle-shell shields, Alligator Snapper and Razorback Musk Turtle, as well as the simple ancient shield and the flint-tipped spears again.  I'm sending them all off to the caster tomorrow, maybe today if I get up early enough to make it over to the post office (sleep is still off schedule with the percocet I'm on for my broken hand).

Sorry for the crappy pictures, I just snapped them quick in the living room... my girlfriend is out of town this week, and I've taken the opportunity to take almost all the miniatures in my house, stack them up, and sort through them.

I've got a bunch set aside for Ebay, I've repacked more, thrown away excess packaging, combined others into single boxes, cleaned up the TV stand... it's been a productive week, but I've still got quite a lot to do.

It's quite a mess, too...  :)

You can see why I waited till the girlfriend was out of town to do anything about it...
