1000 pt Capitol force
« on: July 19, 2008, 12:32:45 PM »
This is a force consisting of models I have. I absolutely love the Purple Shark and Mortar team sculpts so effective or not they are gonna be used!  :P

Light infantry squad 134 points
4 troopers
1 Sgt
1 LMG
1 Comms

Light infantry squad 138 points
4 troopers
1 Sgt
1 LMG
1 Grenade Launcher

Heavy Infantry 178
5 troopers
1 Sgt
1HMG
1 Sniper

Heavy Infantry 185
4 troopers
1 Sgt
1HMG
1 RL
1 Comms

Sea Lions 152
4 SL troopers
1 Sgt
1 LMG

Heavy Infantry Captain 36

Sea Lion Captain 39

Mortar Team 53
2 crewmen
1 spotter

Purple Shark 83
1 gunner’s mate

I figure the LI will be my flankers with the HI and SL forming the center of my force. The Comms specs will be placed on opposite side of the field for obvious reasons.

Could this be an effective force for UWZ?

you need more HI to be able to field that many specialists...for the one squad, you would need 7 troops, and for the other, you would need 11...

same with the LI...you would need 7 troops to field 2 specialists...

other than that it is a good force...I would probably drop the number of troops down to make them more like basic sized squads to be able to squeeze in a free Marine squad, but that is the way I play...

Thanks, this is why I posted the list. This was my first UWZ list so I figured something would be wonky. I really need t go back and thoroughly reread the army comp rules.

Edit: could you help a brother out with a page number for specialist to trooper ratios. It is possible I'm just being dense.  :(

I don't think it's in the book, but it is in the Errata/FAQ.

the force composition requirements are in the Errata section...when I made my first list, I did the same things...

good thing that I had a Crusader local so that I was able to figure out those rules...especially since at the time there was no forums...

Thanks I thought my reading comprehension had dropped to nothing.  :o Now it makes perfect sense why I couldn't find it.  ;)
