Dude, seriously awesome! How did you get the faces to turn out like that?

Colors - need details. Inquiring minds want to know.

Please post extreme close up of at least one fig.

Well, I always prime black (which is usually a cause for arguments lol) then I dry brush the entire model light grey.  Over that I put two coats of blood red and then worked on the details.  I highlighted the eagles white, black inked the rifles over the grey drybrush.  I was going to go over the faces with a second drybrush of white but decided they looked good enough as is.  I painted the belts and pouches two types of brown and the grenades OD green with their gloves a german green.  I ink washed the entire model with brown ink and then another coat of red.  The rocket packs are primed black with a heavy gold dry brush and I painted the arrows light grey.  I painted the bases light brown and flocked them with red puerto rican dirt.

Not sure how good a ECU picture will come out as all I have is a cheapo walmart digi-cam.

Wouldn't be awesome if you added some smoke/flames coming from the jet packs? My suggestion - buy the acc pack from flames of war smoke/flames. I have 2 packs and will use them on my Wailing Banshees.

Maybe I don't know what that would look like.

The masks turned out extemely well.  Rest of the figs look good, but the masks REALLY draw the eye.

Keep up the good work.

Thanks, the masks are the parts I was most worried about losing detail on.

Here is my first completed WZ mini: Capitol Doomtrooper Warrior:

I went for the Martian sand/rocks effect on the base. I was also pleased with how the Doomtrooper/Cartel emblems on the hat, shoulder and knee pads turned out.

The leather came out especially well.  Overall, great use of a fig.
VeezCon products:  Not as good as if they had been actually produced by a real figure company, but better than using your shoe to proxy with...sort of!

Thanks all for the comments. I agree that chainswords are GWish, but I use this simple equation to get past that:

Chainsword = chainsaw
Necromutant = zombie

Chainsaw + zombie = fun and goodness!

Well-said, and even better-painted!
If sing, sang, and sung, sink, sank, and sunk, and drink, drank, and drunk, how is it that it isn't bring, brang, and brung, think, thank and thunk, and ding, dang, and dung?

Don't even get me started about bad, badder and baddest.  Run, ran AND run...again?  C'mon!

Here's something fun to look at. It's my Capitol Army from when I started painting again last year to today. The first images display all the capitol figures I had in total when I started again and the last ones I had to split up cause it's not fitting in on one image any more. And I got about a hundred more unpainted figures to boost a almost full fledge capitol selection with maximised squads.

You might notice how I haven't shaded many of the units I got in my army, this is intended for now as I sometimes leave out finer details that I feel I can improve later on. :)

The initial minis I had when I dug them out a year ago from storage.

This is from a few months later when I began to acquire the units I got my hands on.

Today's painted Infantry Forces

The Navy Forces

The Army Forces and Support

Currently working on: HMG gunners for Orcas, Ranger Squad.

Very nice collection!

Once you feel comfortable witht he painting (completed) I would suggest to try to wash with GW (new) washes or dip with "The Army Painter" stain and spray with dullcoat (Testor's).

Always look out for number one, but don't step in number two.

Almost finished Ranger platoon. Got another Sergeant and a Grenadier left to paint but else it's coming along nicely. Sadly no LMG to add to the collection yet.

The Sergeant in the middle is how I plan for the rest of the to turn out in the end. He's been washed, etc.

Rangers work very well IMHO.

LMG even better.
