Marauder Confederation?

I stumbled across the blurb in the fluff for the Imperial Wolfbanes Iron Bolas:

"Such weapons have been seen elsewhere in the Solar System, mostly used by the much-feared Slavers of the Marauder Confederation."

Was there a pirates faction that never got created or were these a Dark Eden tribe?  Sounds like a question for "Warzone: In Search Of" with Nenord Lemoy.  Or maybe Prime.  I'm guessing he's still busy with taxes though.

They were probably outlaws or an independent small company which could possibly do dirty jobs for other corporations against other corporations without any problems of repercussions I'd imagine that would seem viable within the warzone setup they could be slavers as well they get the people from earth tribes and transport them to the illegal mines on other planets or asteroids.

I never caught any word or rumor of another faction such as this. I'd say this is pure fluff derived from the countless clans of the Wolfbanes. This is a perfect little piece to piggy back a scenario of off. Hmmm!

The Marauders also called the Syndicates of the Fringe are Pirates. Very small companies not under the control of any of the Corps, but are on good terms with Cybertronic. Not really a viable force other than a scenario type game.
