I think the phrase is DA-DAMN. Your paint job rocks...I can't wait to see the rest of the unit.

Thx for the nice comments :)

I work on 2 Headhunters atm but wasnt to satisfied with the look so it may need a bit longer ;)

About the base, its made of cork and sand and than painted to resemble the look of stone and swampvegetation.

Ruther,
Do you find working with cork to be easier then pink insulation foam? I can understand it being stronger. but is it easier towork with in the way of sculpt and paint and glueing?

thanks

I think its easy to work with when making things like stones, as you dont have to sculpt much as you can use the natural forms and patterns from the cork and enhance it with a good paintjob. It glues very good and is easy to work with (just a sharp knife needed). So unlike i dont want to have special formed round stones i would use the cork. But thats just me  ;).

Very well done - I certainly can't shade things that softly.  I'm not sure I agree with your choice to give the guy pink swords, though.  The light blue on the helm and anklets looks great, though!

Red is a tough colour to highlight properly. If you do it with white it risks turning too pink. Another option is to mix in yellow in your highlight but if you aren't careful it will turn too orange.

Here is the scoop on red and how to properly do it (at least i think so) For armor never highlight with yellow or white mixes it will turn either orange or pink, no matter how faint it is it still changes the color, SHADE, start with a lighter red and shade down with darker reds. For everything else the same applies, but just start with a darker RED basecoat and then highlight up with succuessive lighter reds. Then nothing ever looks pink or orange unless that is the look you are going for. I will post pics of my swampies for examples.
