Hi. May i suggest using black ink with Future floor polish. The Future will suck the ink down into all the cracks and crevasses. Water tends to pool on the surface. It's an old painters trick. And since I'm old and a painter I know it works.
You only need a little ink to a large amount of Future. Trust me, this works with spectacular results. If you make a mistake simply brush water onto your fig where you added the dip. Not dark enough? Go back and add a little more ink to your mix and retry.
