In second edition I would Ram people with the Purple shark (lining it up to get as many hit-n-runs as possible)  and models that survived the impact I'd have the Grenadier lob a grenade at from point blank for an auto hit.    The postal service delivery worked everytime but once.  That time not only did a Venusian Ranger not take a wound but the Grenadiers grenade template over lapped the Shark.  The V.Ranger saved that roll too while the grenade blew the Grenadier right off the back.

yea, we really don't need ramming, it's a bit silly.

well you sure can't make a Ram attack.  You can however engage them in CC then promptly break for free from CC for the next action.

if I break from CC can I run away through the enemy?

I'm thinking at 5 enemy models lined up at a choke spot: the only way to go through is to kill them first or can I go through them somehow with the vehicle?

You're not allowed to move between enemy models or an emeny model and a piece of terrain, unless you have a clearance of at least 5 inches.  So when you break from CC you need to move away from the enemy.  Although, you are able to declare another charge off of the break away.

Just to clarify this: the charge must be to a model that you were NOT in CC with at the start of the action. IE, if in CC with model "A", i can break away and charge model "B", but not back up 1" and then charge model "A" again in the same action. However: I can break away from "A" to charge "B" in action 1, and then in action 2, break away from "B" to charge "A" again (different action).

This is my understanding of the rule.  I was told from a reliable source that this came straight from TT himself and as such, this is how it was ruled at the national tourney at Origins this past year.

I would think that the fiscaly minded corporations would teach their vehicle drivers NOT to run into stuff. Afterall, it's cheaper to train another driver and hoze out a vehicle than replace that vehicle.

Plus there is the rise in insurance, the body work, man hours lost due to injury.  Frankly it's a wonder the corproations go to war at all.
