Grid Maps
« on: July 21, 2007, 06:53:51 AM »
I have a lot of larger maps with 1" grids on them.  Is there a down side to using them?  Other than the ability to pre-count before firing?  I actually have a 4'x8' map with 3d terrain that would work great.

I suppose if you were battling Tron it wouldn't be a  problem.

Dont discount the ability to premeasure in Chronopia. It can change alot of tactics and save activations that might otherwise be lost. Id use them for a change of pace and to use them since you have them but as you play more, Youll prob prefer not to use them.

The grid will allow both players to judge distances better but apart from that I see no real problem. If the maps look cool you should use them.

BTW what is the English term for that? I keep wanting to say eye measure like we do in Swedish but that's not quite right.

Hello

Closest term we have is to "eyeball it" just look and judge for yourself.

In german we say someone has "Augenmaß", that is Eye-Measure
-> someone who measures good with his eyes.

(Also abstract, like "with the new security-laws we should not loose good Augenmaß"
-> a law in subjective, but it should not be to extreme)
"Don´t anticipate outcome. Await the unfolding of events. Remain in the moment."
