new to warzone
« on: July 04, 2007, 12:20:15 PM »
after i found this site and places where to get mini's from i though i might as well have a look at warzone.

i got 2nd edition off ebay, and was quite happy with it. I thought the background could have been longer, more like chronopia in detail.

However i saw there are the supplement books. Which of these are compatibal with 2nd edition rules?

I saw dark eden among others but are these for second edition.

Anyway after reading i think i'm gonna get either a cybertronic army. Though there is far more stuff for brotherhood and dark legion, so i may yet change my mind.

any help would be appreciated

cheers !

The comics also had a "Sourcebook" issue. I have issues 1 through 4 and the sourcebook. I don't have the compilation though.

How are the novels?

I remember my local bookstore carried scads of them 10 years ago.  As I wasn't into tabletop gaming then, (and a bit of a literary snob :D) I just passed over them.

 Damn, now there just memories...

Gotta check ebay on of these days..

Literary classics they will never be but I liked them. I don't know if that says something good about the books or just something about me.  :D

Nah, Topkick, feelings the same.  Sometimes we just have to indulge in light-hearted amusements like this.

If I have a choice between reading over the summer, say a heavy contemporary literature filled with pathos, drama, and triumph of the human spirit and... a dozen Black Library books, :o :o, I'd settle for the latter. :D

Quantity vs. quality, I guess... :-[

I understand. I stopped reading The Count of Monte Cristo to devour the latest Gaunt's Ghost novel when it came out in paperback. Since I have read The Count of Monte Cristo several times and own it, that isn't as bad as it might sound to some.  ;)

Graham Masterson - the guy who wrote The Manitou and The Djinn? I loved those books but haven't seen any of the others he might have written. Did he do any other Harry Erskine novels? I also would like to track down the movie of The Manitou starring Tony Curtis.

I think he did a few more with Harry Erskine in.I'am sure he also did a follow up to the Manitou.
The Dream Warriors books are great if you get the chance to read them you most definetly should.
Dean R.Koontz is also a good writer they did a couple of movies based on one of his books.I cant remember the name though.
