Events at Maplewood Hobby
« on: November 07, 2005, 06:38:37 PM »
Hiya!

The owner of Maplewood Hobby wants to start a regular Warzone/Chronopia game day, and we need players!

I'm going to be (hopefully) running Warzone, since I don't know Chronopia, and I plan on having Maplewood Hobby be a fun, open place for Excelsior games goodness!  If you want to be the Chronopia guy, call the store and talk to John, I'm sure he'll be able to hook you up.

Maplewood Hobby also has a good selection of Warzone/Chronopia stuff, for those of you who like buying from brick and mortar stores.

See you there!
Steve

John (the owner) is kool guy, Large selection of chronopia and warzone, and lots of terrain and table space to play on.

When does john want to do warzone day (say sunday ;))?

I'm not sure, yet.  I think the plan is to find out when it's good for everyone, and then work up from there.

I'm usually there on saturdays, but I could show up sundays, if needed.

I live about 35 minutes from Maplewood and would be willing to play on a Sunday once in a while.  I also can play during the week at night.

I am a hardcore Chronopia player!  I am the one who fielded most of the Stygian and Dwarves for the record breaking game at DexCon.  I have almost a 1000 points for every army.

So let me know if you are serious about playing.  I currecntly play at Time Warp Games & Comics on Friday Nights, but the following is starting to become interested in other games.

My email is rileyseanp@yahoo.com

I'll come and play if I know others are going to be there.

I've moved my Heroclix commitments from Saturday to Sunday, so that way I should be able to get a game in.  I'm sure John will let me borrow one of his armies, if you teach me how to play. :)
(I really need to pick up the rulebook one of these days)

so your saying your going to be there on sundays...rock on.
are you there every sunday, more important are you there this sunday?
I'm thinking of stopping by.

I'm sure john would loan you army (I dont want to speak for him) if not I got few extra we can use for a demo.
Now its been a while (few months) since I last played so its fair to warn you I'm bet rusty on the least used rules, but shouldn't be a issue.

I total recommand getting the rulebook its a great game. I tend to enjoy this more then warzone ( and I think warzone is lots of fun).

I wish there were more players in my area.... It seems to be tough to find players.

I can field over 2,000 points of every army, my Firstborn, Blackblood, and Elven armies are beyond
6,000 points.

I have been playing since the old Target days.

I LOVE Chronopia.

I find myself playing solitaire a lot, perfecting my technique and designing new strategies.

Not as fun as playing face to face though.   :(

Well, so far, there's us two Steves.  Maybe we can get the Rogues Den crew to show up...

Also, anyone who feels like driving to Maplewood on sundays are free to join.  Depending on how many people show up and are regular, I might actually put together a running Campaign; the results of battles will affect future battles, alliances between factions that can't normally take each other, etc. :)

*has lots of ideas* :)

I might be interested to check it out if Maplewood Hobby does carry a full line of Chronopia and Warzone...  However, with holiday around the corner, I dont think I can make it out till January.
