During gaming a question came up concerning sweep.

A blackblood troll is surrounded by 4 or 5 Orc Infantry. The Troll's two-handed falchion is allowed to sweep.

Heres the question:

1. Does the sweep start with the first Orc the Troll attacks in CC?  <CC of 14 + 4 for berzerk -1 for sweep for a CC of 17> Thus giving him a -1 to the first Orc, -2 to the 2nd Orc etc.

or
2. The Troll attacks the first Orc in CC using regular CC rules <CC of 14 + 4 for berzerk for a CC of 18> and then the 2nd Orc that is attacked via sweep is at a -1 <CC of 14 + 4 for berzerk -1 for sweep for a CC of 17> and so on until the sweep ends.

Your thoughts are greatly appreciated.

the -1 begins with the very first attack, pg. 94, "there is a negative 1 to hit the first model,.."

It just so happened that Jeff and I both played Blackbloods last nite. Very similar army lists makes for a very interesting battle. The Ballz to the Wall Chariot strikes again!!!!!!  ;D
