What else is Matt Gubser working on?
« on: October 11, 2005, 07:46:06 AM »
According to Thom Talamini, Matt Gubser sculpted the new Desert Wolf Warriors, and they are my current favorites.  I decided to check out some more of Matt's work on the Reaper site.  You can see what he's done for them by entering his name in the search block after you've clicked on the models icon.  I was surprised to learn I already had a model he sculpted for them.  I think this guy's work is pretty good, no matter what company he's working for.  His Praying Paladin shows some real skills, in addition to nailing the Chronopia dwarves down from the art in the book.  Now, of course I'm assuming (and we all know what that means) that this is the same Matt Gubser, (how many can there be in this field) but chances are I'm accurate, begging the question--What else is Matt Gubser working on?  I'd like to see his take on the Dragon Skull Warriors.

Thom says he's a nice guy to boot.
Check out his stuff, at www.prophet-miniatures.com.  I think you'll be glad to see his skills and glad that Thom's got him workin' on our models.  Cheers.

Update:  I shot Matt some fan mail and he was nice enough to respond.  He tells me the Tunnel Fighters should be done in about a week, meaning great news for us Dwarf players.  Obviously it will take some time to take a finished green, create a master, master mold and all that, meaning no exact release date, but it's definitely an indicator that Thom is kickin' ass.  I hope to see more work from this guy.  Cheers.

I saw the green from one of Coki's threads.  I wonder what sort of grassroots effort we can muster to get upcoming greens on the forum.   Hmmm....

Hey, I'm famous! ;D
Tunnel fighters are veeerrry close to done.  They're the best figs I've done for EE, so they shouldn't disappoint!

Welcome!

It's great to have one of the sculpturs on the forum. I haven't seen the dwarves you've done for EE in person yet, but you have done a great job on them. I also like a lot of the Reaper minis you've done that you have on your page.

Thanks for the warm welcome guys!  Sometimes it's better to stay in the background rather than be active in forums.  Defintely get more honest commentary on figures that way.  Not that I have thin skin anyways ;)

The new Dwarf models you've done has made me want to start a Dwarf army. Keep up the good work!
