Might I add a couple to the list ...

When you're counting the days you've been "sober" (ie. not had a single WZ miniature in your hand) and feeling the itch grow by the hour ... finally you give up and paint something (the quick fix) or set up a table and actually play a game (the satisfying fix).

You end up playing against yourself when you're "date" decides they'd rather spent their sunny sunday afternoon doing something ELSE and you've already set the table up. (Btw: it's actually quite fun playing against your own thinking).
