13th Div. Martian Banshees
« on: December 24, 2006, 01:54:21 AM »
I have some of these that I need to paint. Does anyone have a paint scheme for theirs or do you have a good idea for one that I can try. A pic would be even better. Thx  :)

In the older books they were painted red I think. If I remember the fluff text they painted one shoulder guard as a rememberance to the ones they lost that motivated them to join the Banshees. Anyway that is the scheme I am trying to use.

The 2nd edition book has them in Bright Red Armor, white faceplates with Harlequinesque white angryface design painted on.

My personal thought....Reddish desert camo with a yellow unhappy face on the faceplate!     :(  Maybe add a bullet hole in the forehead...  That is the crazy side of me speaking.

Good luck with the figs.

The white faceplates are supposed to represent Kabuki or Noh masks of demons to represent the * hatred they have for Mishima if I remember my fluff correctly.

* While they hate Mishima, I guess I should say incite fear in Mishima troops

I always thought that they just had a stylized skull mask to symbolize the seeking death aspect in the descriptions for them...always thought they looked good because of that...

I've seen some in full desert camo, but I prefer the bright red scheme myself...

I actually have a unit in tigerstripes...  If I can dig up my camera, I'll take a picture.  If someone can host it, I'll send it to them.
