EE--Thanks for Southern Exposure
« on: October 03, 2005, 06:13:21 AM »
I just wanted to say thanks for being there at Southern Exposure.  It was a very small con, with only six of us in the Chronopia tournament.  Bill Refsland (dane on the forum) did a bang up job, making it a really fun event with interesting boards and objectives.  It was competitive, in that we all played to win, but two novices were there who got to play and learn the game in what could only be described as a friendly environment.  When Bill (Stygian Warrior) was playing one of these newbies, he instructed him on the use of Group Attack for a unit of War Dogs arrayed AGAINST him.  That's cool.  It was maybe more like a demo for some, but the grudge match I had against J.P. from the EE crew was ON.  It was a great day and I look forward to the next con.
May the Dark Lords of Lead-Free Pewter smile kindly upon you.

The whole crew of people where top quality competitors and tacticians. The tourney small as it was was a really great time. I got to meet 5 more poeple that just made the whole hobby better. If any of you out there get a chance to play any of the peeps that showed, you will have a great game.

My compliments to all of the competitors, you all rocked.

Be Well and see you at the next Double Exposure convention!

William

give 'em props Bill - I won't know them at a future con if I don't have a name
