War Torkha and Vulture Marksman
« on: December 11, 2006, 04:54:03 PM »
These are two conversions I have been working on.The War Torkha still needs another rider to complete the model.

Any ideas as to a second rider would be appreciated as would any and all comments.

Andy, you've knocked those out of the park.  I've got the Chainmail Dwarf bomb thrower, but what you've done with him is brilliant!!  He even matches the flavor--you got the talons on his feet.  Well done.

For a rider--maybe taking a Horned Ones Legion model, cutting off the tab that goes into the base and reworking the legs would give you a mahmout; you could attach a length of chain from his shield arm/sans shield attached, to the Torkha's bull ring!!  That might work, but repostioning the legs could be tricky.

All in all---great job, and karma to you.

Cheers.

Thanks for the kind words. The Wolf Totem should be posted by the weekend.

Joshua you have the miniature in your package to make the Marksman with the necessary parts. The Chainmail miniatures have done some miles as I got them from the USA and now they are on thier way back :D.

I thought about using a Legion model but they are big nexto the Chainmail one (makes him look like a Hobbit).

Maybe I'll use a Horned Ones Legion model for the driver, and trick out a Warshield as the gunner!!  So far I like what you've done.  I should have enough raw materials to put it on the board.  Mwahahahahahahaha!!!

Again Andy, thanks and great work.

The crossbow was an old 15mm orc one from Tin Soldier if I remember correctly.
Antenocities workshop had some that might be better though by Mega Miniatures. As the 15mm ones had severed heads attached to it.
Finished a Rivetbull yesterday and will post pictures when I find the camera.

Thanks, I plan on ordering the Mega mini's mini for Torkha and Impaler.  Just need to find/make a good "gun hand" for the Torkha.
