WAIT a second?
« on: November 26, 2006, 10:08:42 AM »
We had this come up last game and just not sure about it, and don't have my book handy.  Say a warband attacks and the first half use all their actions to kill the opponents, can the other half go on wait?  So in essence what I want to know is if some members of a warband can go on wait  while others are "done"?  I would say yes, but what an "official" ruling.

                                                                          Thanks

Yes just mark the models that are on wait.

Correct.

Models in a warband activate one at a time, each performing their actions. They do not all have to do the same thing.

that's basically the same in Chronopia as it is in Warzone...

OK.  S, I have been checking out the WAIT dicussion on the Warzone thread.  I am assuming (ouch!) that it would be the same for Chronopia?  By that I mean that one could use a models wait action on the following turn, as long as it (model) interrupted an opponent's action and used only the actions allowed by wait.  Is this a correct interpertation?  We tried this last game and it seemed to work fine.

A Wait may be used at ANY time, assuming the action is a valid one.

Thanks southpaw.  You are a useful fellow. ;D  I really like this, it is a good fix from the 1st edition.  Makes WAIT much more useful.

Glad to be of service, as always.

Although it is important to note that most of the valid actions to perform from Wait require a visible action from an enemy model first (charging, countercharging, ranged attack, etc).

Yes, I am clear about that.  I do appreciate your efforts though.

Don't forget you may use a WAIT test to charge a model that has finished its movement/actions within your charge range.  You still have to make the test however......
