Elf Conversion. WIP
« on: February 21, 2006, 06:27:03 AM »
Who doesn't love an elf with a mohawk?  I used the head from a Ral Partha dark elf from iron wind metals, and just swapped it out.  Painting isn't finished yet, and not based, but hey, he's got the mohawk.

It's not the best work I've done--it's kind of Frankensteined!  I have two more to go, and I will take my time and make sure I have a better fit, and take off the mold lines around the shoulder armor.  My Obsidian Serpents are all being done in this purple metallic with black ink.  It's a good look in that it hurts the eyes!  So far they've been winning, so I'm hoping they will look complete too.  Cheers.

Joshua have you done the other two conversions ?
You could try turning the axehead around the other way and have the Elf's head facing the other way.It would be cool to see your Wolverine Dwarf too  ::).

...but hey, he's got the mohawk.

And nothing is more important.  ;)
If sing, sang, and sung, sink, sank, and sunk, and drink, drank, and drunk, how is it that it isn't bring, brang, and brung, think, thank and thunk, and ding, dang, and dung?

Don't even get me started about bad, badder and baddest.  Run, ran AND run...again?  C'mon!

I'll get the Mauler pic as soon as I can find the right lighting.  That digital camera macro setting is not always cooperative, and I usually shoot outside when there's some sun.  Not much of that lately, but now the pressure is on.  I'll have something shortly..

When I started this thread the license issue overshadowed everything.  Now that I'm organizing events and seeing the game continue, it's time to start showing my handiwork again.  I guess that's what I meant.  I'll charge up the digital camera tonight while I'm kicking Bill Meredith's butt.  As for you Mr. Andy Coleman, you've set the bar to inspirational heights.  You're a tough act to follow.  Please continue!!!!!

Cheers.

We all get inspired and this Game, forum and the people on it help keep it alive.Any and all paint jobs and conversions should be well accepted as we can all improve with a little help from more experienced modelers and gamers.
I for one had trouble with Green stuff sticking to my tools until Kev White said that he rubs his on his brow and it works too.
So who else has some cool conversions or paint jobs to show off and help motivate others?
