would this people likely to be still around?? the citadel/seal is considered to be extremly old, and there is 1000 years after the first incursion the present time is set.

the question therefore would be: why would they come back now, if they still exit?
(and of course, how did they survive so long, as race and society?)

Think of it in Babylon 5 terms - The Dark Legion are the Shadows and Nemesis would be like the Vorlons or one of the Ancients who showed up for the final battle against the Shadows.

Remember I said it was merely one of the posible explanations - I am partial to the "shadow force" storyline

yes... but... babylon 5 with some holy light guys set in warzone??

the world is not overrun with shadow ships and angels to counter them.

its zombies, dark technology, madness and warzones around citadels with 1. ww mass battles..

angels would not fit, not even a "pure good" side.

the world is in my feeling different, more dark, gritty, heroic and desparete.
not so much "religiouse" in an angel/devil seting. its there, with the brotherhood, but they are like zelots and not like the "good" guys.

We must have watched different versions of B5 - I never considered the Vorlons as Angels. More like opportunistic benevolent pseudo dictators. As long as the lesser races amused them they let us live but try and cross the line and they were the definition of butt-munches.

the description is somewhat ininformative in this toppic. my point is, that the angel side does not necessarily need to be fiendly/caring to the humans.

in this game the angels use and sacrifice humans with no remorse. "let god sort īem out".

edit: if they are said to be no supernatural, all this is my mistake of course.
but a energy race, I also donīt think so fitting.. even  a non-demonic one

Actaully the Vorlons appeared as god not an angel to all the lesser races.
