I would use it as a proxy for the Elite Ogre Guard. ;D

He can be used for anything you want ;D.Just nice to have the option to have another suitable miniature to fit into the game.What next then?

I would suggest the two additional poses. You could sell them as a three pack. Choose a leader, the other two are grunts. Buy two three packs and you have two minimal squads or one max one with an additional leader. I think they'd sell well for you.
One look at the suggestions for troops has a few ideas of possible models that would complement the theme.

They will be out around the second week in Febuary.There was a problem with the sculpt when it went into the master mould so has had to be sent back to Kev to fix.It has been done and will be sent back to me when Kev finishes another new piece he is doing for me ;).

They do look a bit more like the Devout one's.Maybe they could have animosoty against them ;).

The shoulders are fine. I like the pose. Its a better sculpt than the one 'real' one next too it, but not as good as the other Ogre Infantry leader model I own.

Yes - I would definitely like these for elite ogre guard proxies -- although carrying 2 handed swords would make them perfect for this. hint hint. ;)

That might be a two-handed falchion he is carrying. He is just holding it with one hand so he can use his fist spike on the next one to comment on his sword. 8)

Been along time in updating this post but the miniature is now away to go into an new master mould.I will let you know when he will be available.I think i jumped the gun a bit saying he would be out in Febuary.

Got a few master castings back and one is away to be painted up now.
On the to do next list is stick hands onto new Dwarves then send them away for painting too ;).

Hope to have two more releases before the end of the Year Joshua.The Ogre is one of them along with another Kev Adams piece.Just waiting on production moulds to be done and painted miniatures to show off.

Had a message from Griffin Moulds today.The new production moulds are done and casting will be done next week.Hope to have them in the shop as soon as they arrive.

After not hearing from Griffin i contacted them Yesterday to see what is happening.Things are still up in the air as they are struggling to catch-up on orders after Stewart passed away.So it should be around two weeks for my stuff to get sorted.Not the best new's but understandable given the circumstances.

For those interested, especially Blackblood players ;) I'll give you my review of the models.
1. Clean casting. Almost no mold lines, except for the ankles and under the tabard. The flash is easy to file off or cut with a knife.
2. The base. It comes bent a little bit, making the model pitch forward - easy fix with a pair of needle nose pliers. There is no slotta, just a small, integral base, but perfect for putting on anything you like. I plan of pinning them to metal 30mm bases and using greenstuff or putty to blend it in.
3. The sword. Easily straightened and thick enough that it won't break, and looks the business of massive damage.
4. The pose. It's so cool. I went in with a friend, and we each got five models. I plan of pinning back banners on the leaders. They look incredibly good grouped together now that I'm working on them.
5. Andy's customer service rocks. Buy his models.

I think the base bends a little when it comes out of the mould hot.Like you say an easy fix to get it into the right position.
Looking forward to seeing which standards you go for for the Leaders.I would imagine the Skorne one's from Hordes would work really well for them.
Cant wait to see them all painted up and in a few games.

I got the Ogre and in case someone is wondering. Yes it is the right size for Ogres and yes it works great in your blackblood force. I recommend this figure, and the dwarves too. All of them are great actually, just as good or better than the original stuff. These miniatures are Horned God approved.
