Title: 1st Edition Rules Question
Post by: Caitiff on October 08, 2012, 07:02:28 AM
Me and my friends are arguing over if the flamer team/soulflayer can fire their flames on a wait action. Since firing it is a special action which isnt listed as a performable action on wait. Whats the right answer? ^^

Treat them as a ranged attack. It's a template attack, but I think it might be considered as a gourd bomb for the goblins, as an acid spit from from the ophidian, and so on.

I have 2 additional questions:

1) There are several types of thrown weapons:
- STR is added to the range of 6 and damage of a weapon (example: Night Walker, Embalmed) - no question here
- Is strength is added to the damage of a weapon thrown during a charge? (example: Viridian Lord, Kronos Tibesman)
- IS strength added to range and damage of thrown weapons with  minimal and maximal range? (example: Kronos chariot Javelins, Dwarven Heavy Spears from Labirynth)

2) Doeas warrior from Kronos Chariot survives if the chariot is destroyed? I cannot see the rule in the book, but the warrior has his own stats and rules as if there was such possibility.

Self answers

1)
b) rules say that only bonuses for charging do not apply - I assume that strength should be added
c) I would treat them as "composite bow" - strength is added only to damage

2) Crew survives - there is such statement in global chariot rules
