 Just saw this and thought it might be of interest.

 I think this would make a cool Dwarf Vulture Clan Totem miniature.Looks very promising.

Have ya seen HeroScape's Grimnak figure?  The rider's a blue-skinned Orc, so maybe a little bashing would be in order for what you want, but it's pretty!

My big problem is that the figure (from what I've seen, I may be wrong) is still this semi-soft plastic thing which means it's that much easier to damage.  I suppose you could clone it and paint that but then you run into ethical issues.

I don't know- it looks more saurian-like than bird-like to me. I know its only a concept sketch but still...

I think it looks like its got potential, but I'd have to see it in person to make a final judgement.  Maybe work-able, maybe not.
