Ok, I'm going to introduce myself first and then get right to it.
I'm from Sweden and me and two friends are just starting out with Warzone. We've got the 3rd edition rules and we just ordered a crap-load of figures from Prince August. I think the order ended up just above €200.. ;)
I'm going to play the Horde mostly because I'm really into zombies and also because back in the days, I used to play the horde when we played SotC.
Here's the list of what I bought today:
Grunts:
Acolytes
1 Initiate Leader
1 Acolyte HMG
5 Acolytes
4 Heretic Legionnaires
Specialists:
Golem of Darkness
Support:
Pretorian Stalker
Pretorian Behemoth
Individuals:
Heretic (Leader)
Female Heretic
Metropolitan Prophet
Technomancer
Stahler
Golgotha
We've also bought SotC and Warzone 2ed so we've got loads of Bauhausians/Imperials and some doomtroopers and the lot from SotC.
I'm really looking forward to getting started..
Anyone ever used the Pretorian Behemoth? Got any size-comparison pic you could share?

If you are playing Ultimate Warzone then you have bits from several Dark Legion Forces. They break down as follows -
Cult:
Acolytes
1 Initiate Leader
1 Acolyte HMG
5 Acolytes
Technomancer
Stahler
Algeroth:
Golgotha
Semai
4 Heretic Legionnaires
- If you bought the old 4 pack then you actually have 2 Heretics and 2 Dissidents (the ones with the coats, pistols and knives)
Heretic (now called the Heetic Corruptor)
Female Heretic (now called the Nepharite of Semai)
Metropolitan Prophet
Multi-use:
Golem of Darkness
Support:
Pretorian Stalker
Pretorian Behemoth

Yeah, we're going to proxy a lot and besides that, this list I've made up is probably big enough to take on both of my opponents at the same time... lol
Here's the setup I was thinking:
Algeroth/Cultist-list:
Grunt Squads:
3 Squads Necrotyrants 18p/st (SotC Legionnaires)
3 Carnal Harvesters 38p (Stalkers/Prophet)
2* Squads Acolytes (5st, 16p/st) 80p
2 Initiate Leaders 18p
1 Acolyte HMG Specialist 22p
Individual Units:
3 Centurion Preceptors (27p/st) 81p (SotC)
1* Technomancer 63p
1* Stahler 45p
Support Units:
1 Neronion Razides 86p (SotC)
1 Pretorian Behemoth 158p
Force Commander:
Golgotha, the Mistress of Pain 61p
Total:
34 Figures
5 Grunt Squads
0 Elite Squads
5 Individuals
2 Support Units
1 Force Commander
1033 points
So, the Female Heretic, the Heretic and the Metro Prophet won't be used at all at this point..

Nice list
I found a couple of things that need to be fixed.
You only have 1 cult squad but you have 2 cult individuals. The cult units hav to be able to stand alone in order to be used. You need another cult squad to qualify the 2nd individual.
You also have too many individuals per squad. You have 4 Indiv with only 3 squads. Support units dont qualify Indiv. If you buy 1 more carnal harvester and make them their own elite squad it works. or unless you meant that you have 3 squads of necrotyrants. If so ignore the last statement.
Everything else is fine looks like it is going to be a nasty list once you fix it.
Hope that helps.

Fixed the cultist problem, I dropped the Neronions and added another cultist squad instead. I basically built the list around Golgotha and Stahler, so I really want them. I could drop the Technomancer, but I like him, so it's another cultist squad instead. That also means I get to use the Heretic as an initiate leader type.
I do mean three squads of necrotyrants, but I got to thinking and I could proxy the prophet as a harvester and field them as a unit instead or just include him as a support to the third squad. I don't know what I like best, a free squad or three supported necro-t squads. Any which way, I get to use the prophet as well. :D
The only reason I can see to field a harvester squad is to enable me to field another razide, not that I'm going to need it though.. ;)

The only hard part of switching to 3rd Ed is the new purchasing rules. I have long since stopped my whining on this and given in to the darkness ;D. Once you get used to it, it works well.
-
Yes, I don't think that's going to be a problem since none of us ever played the first or second edition. This is really the first game of this kind we're playing. We play a lot of Blood Bowl though, but that's not anything like this really.

Welcome. Nice to see more Swedes coming here, even if they are from the wrong coast. ;)
-
At least I don't live in the backside of Sweden... :P
Ok, a few more questions..
Dark Legion Cult Force: Players wishing to field Cult force may select freely from the Cult list and the Templar Partisan list. They may never field unlts from an Apostle, Horde, or Common Support list.
What is the Templar Partisan List? Does it refer to the Rasputins of Dark Eden or what?
EDIT: Found it...
About Leaders: When fielding a squad, you MUST always get a sergeant or could you instead buy a captain and attach him to the squad to sort of upgrade the squad leader?
-
Sadly you must buy a sergeant. You can still buy the captain and attach him as better leader but a sergeant must still be purchased and present.

That's what I thought, just needed it confirmed..
