I came across one at Talamania I last year in Philly and sold it when I stopped in Columbus, OH for dinner on the way home. Maybe we can get lucky and Stalker will show us the finished product.

Once again, a matter of pride, for me.  Thom used my painted Tekron Warmaser for the Pics on the blister pack.  I have one that I am painting, but I have, somehow, lost the head.  VeezCon got that?

Yeah - this is one of the few pieces I do not have in my collection. I'd love to get one...but don't see spending $100 on it...

Didn't mean you Luckyone - I meant that maybe if we had luck on our side that Stalker would have the project finished and post some pix.

We'll consult our subsidiaries when we get back.  I would probably have to have it in my hands to work on it but I would be interested in trying.

That reminds me to dig up the Spawn action figure I had buried away in my bitz bin.  He was the anime version of the Clown I belive.   A big fat cyborg supported on mechanical legs with tentacles.  I originally grabbed him for use as a Nurgle possess vehicle conversion I was planning for 40k.  Sounds like this could be the basis for a Tekron Warmaster, I think he's about the right size too.

That is the earlier edition tekron. No longer used in UWZ.

That was the original Tekron which I suppose you could still use (as the newer one is like golddust), who remembers the other half man/machine with the guns and two small bodyguards carrying his stuff I can't be sure but I think it was a hellfire cart?

Yes it was the Hellfire Cart and it had 3 childen of Illian. 1 spotter/1 mechanic/1 sword holder. ;)

Cheers Dragon,

I wonder why they dropped it it was an weird idea a slight change in the sculpt and it would have been great the idea is very dark legion to me

Well, I have two of those old skool tractor bubbaz.

you could use the top part of the tekron and give it some spider legs? and use the tractor part for another conversion perhaps

Good idea.  Get one of those Tehnolog kits with the spider legs, that I used to make my Cancer Mounted Machine Gun, and mount fat boy's body on it.  Add some piano wire tentacles and you now have a Tecron Warmaster.

Sounds Like a good idea to me I'd probably get rid of the spanner in his hand and add something more sinister  or a necrotech claw as he is now armed with that.

You could even use some Bug legs from Starship troopers perhaps? for a more spiderlike look

Take the old Tekron and a Dreadbot for the body/spiderlegs. Add the Tech marine backpack/servo-arm or some tentacles. Put hands from the plastic Ducals/Regulars onto the tentacles and put tool bits and small weapons in the hands. That would make a passable Tekron Warmamster. I will add this to the projects list right behind the Cancer Mounted Machine Gun.

Tehnolog  (http://www.tehnolog.ru/index.php?lang=1) is a Russian toy company that makes a line of modular terrain and vehicles for gaming.  They have a game of their own called RoboGear (http://www.robogear.ru/eng/skelet/2/index_2.php).  They are imported to the US through Pegasus Hobbies (http://h1070012.hobbyshopnow.com/).  Urban Mammoth & Airfix import them to the UK.

The building sets (Hexagon (http://www.robogear.ru/images/katalog/box/rus/box_gexagon.jpg), Platformer (http://www.robogear.ru/images/katalog/box/rus/box_platformer.jpg), Syberclicks (http://www.robogear.ru/images/katalog/box/rus/box_cyber_clix.jpg), Power Plant (http://www.robogear.ru/images/katalog/box/rus/box_power_plant.jpg), Chemical Plant (http://www.robogear.ru/images/katalog/box/rus/Chemical_Plant_box.jpg), and Mage Gothic (http://www.robogear.ru/images/katalog/box/rus/box_mage_gotik.jpg)) are quite versatile and I use them for lots of terrain projects.

Now the kit I'm recommending for this Tekron Warmaster would be the RoboGear Spider (http://www.robogear.ru/images/katalog/teh_icon/spider.jpg).  Yeah they sort of look toy'ish and dorky (and even come with spring loaded missiles) but when you break them down they are a kitbasher's treasure trove and quite affordable too.  You can obtain them for about $10 a kit, and many times for less.  Do an eBay search  (http://search.ebay.com/search/search.dll?from=R40&_trksid=m37&satitle=Robogear&category0=) and you can find them pretty cheap.

Now back to the subject.  Omit the ****pit module and the gun turret on the back.  Now you have a 6-legged chassis for which to mount the upper half of the old Tekron model on.  Simply add some more techy bitz and some heavy piano wire tentacles and you now have a Tekron Warmaster!

I used the same kit to make my Cybertronic Cancer Mounted Heavy Machine Gun (http://www.miniartofwar.net/forum/uploads/1195285156/med_gallery_2_21_61126.jpg).  I'm also using the Thunder (http://www.robogear.ru/images/katalog/box/rus/Thunder_box.jpg) kit to make my Templar Horde Verounist Stingray, just omit the ****pit again and use the wings and engines.  Several other kits would be useful in making suitable proxies for an EDD or Hurricane Warwalker.

You can also buy them on Amazon.com for pretty cheap.  A google search will probably produce a couple other distributors.

I'd say use the dreadbot but the techonolog spider is much cheaper I hate to say.

Of course there is no reason why you can't add tentacles to your already existing Tekron and use it (cough-post in miniatures and terrain-cough).

Yep.

The CSO Peacekeepers make great Cartel Peace Keepers and the Security troops good cops too.  THe Marshal would make an ok Special Agent or a possible Special Character/Character model for the Cartel too.

I'm kicking myself for completely forgetting about that Grimalkin........Well he and Lilith aren't released yet. ::)

Yep, Rez has lots of great models that can fit in as great poxies for Warzone.  I've just mentioned a few APAC ones that would work great as Mishima Warrior Monks (http://forum54.oli.us/index.php?topic=4602.0).  There's also some great new ones from the Vatacina that would work great for the Brotherhood.

About the same size as the 28mm fig.  Looks exactly like the face on pg452, but anything close would be nice - thanks.

Not a big fan of the dork bot or pirate pete the religious trooper sergeant, but with some shoulder pads the other stuff might work well.

"Funny" until you consider that the Tekron Warmaster was a UWZ (and presumably Thom's) creation.

Suddenly I hate these guys a little bit more.

He'll be back!

Question - Thom - what's the status of the last rounds of figures that were created for the game?  Stuff like the Warmaster, the Blight Commandos etc? How about the Mounted Disciples or the Storm Trenchers?
Any chance we'll get to see these again? Anything we as fans can do to help facilitate that?

Plus, of course, I will buy lots of figs.

Death Fries are a delicacy to be tried at least once before you die (and they may just be the things that kill you).  I have had them in numerous places and the variations are minute; little more than increments in artery-hardening goodness.  I will post my recipe for them in a new thread for you in case you want to try and do this on your own (this way the coroner can say you did this to yourself).  BE WARNED THOUGH...THEY EARNED THEIR NAME.   :)
