Title: Computer illiterate..well, almost.
Post by: joshuaslater on October 20, 2005, 08:12:50 AM
How does one attach an image on this forum?  I've used the "attach image" jawn, and get the (http://) bit, but I'm having trouble hooking the picture on to it.  I thought it worked by (http:// web address).  Any suggestions would help.  Please leave the dumb blonde jokes for later.  Cheers.

Basically you use the "(http://" without the quotes and putting the web address to the hosting site for the pic in the middle like here and close it with a ")" without the quotes.

TwoGun--I only put the quotes in thinking that the img biz would be clear, lettin' y'all know I could at least find the icon.  Funny enough, even puttin' quotes around it, it's just a red x in a big'ol white square, leavin' me no closer to posting a pic than I was.   :'(

Hang on, I'm failing to outthink the machine basically you use a [ img ] without the spaces put the website address here and close in with a [ /img]

So it will look like [ img ]http://www.chronopia-deutschland.de/images/spiel/berichte/gamersrealm/June_4_2005_011.jpg[ \img ]

Take the spaces out and...

Thanks TwoGun, I think the address I was hookin' it to was most incorrect.  I should be able to swing it.  Cheers.

For those of us who know all the names of everyone but have never seen any of you guys, can we get some names? I'm curious about the guy who's peeking over the three in front wondering why he wasn't included.

Thom is the "Man in Black" in the middle of the photograph and next to him on the right as you look at the photo (white cap) is Chuck "CKGeist" Kassring a former EE employee. The other guys I don't recognize.

The other guy is JP Demare (forgive the spelling, JP), a current EE employee (and all around good guy, too).  He should, really, introduce himself, but I felt obliged.

@ Steel Rabbit--that's Stygian Warrior (Bill Meredith), and I took the photo this past summer at a demo in Jersey.  I didn't realize Bill you were such an attention monger!

And for those joining us mid-race, JP DeMare is Anubis31 on the EE forum.  I don't know if "Excelsior Whipping Boy" is his official title.

OHHH! Cool! it's good to put some faces to the names. I guessed it was Thom from what a previous post had hinted at but I didn't want to come out and say it and look like a dweeb. I guess I didn't recognize him without his white cowboy hat!

To the picture ;)

It cames from the old Message Board (the text and the pictures form the gallery). It was pictures from a DemoWeekend in the Gamersrealm. I have translated the text in german and rescued the pictures.
