Title: retail question
Post by: bauhaus_blitz on October 12, 2005, 01:03:39 PM
How are warzone minis sold in a flgs? Are they in "regiment" packs just like the online store? Do the choices for grunts and elites come packaged as just one mini to a blister?

Yah, what's the packaging like for retail outlets? I've received a couple of orders in packaging, but the rest of my stuff was in ziplock bags (not complaining at all, just curious).

Retailers receive the figs in the plastic clamshells. The figs are available as you see them online, in the large squad macropacks (7-10 figs), smaller 4 man squad or leader packs, and any individual character mini.

We consolidated our line into the larger format macros to cut down on the skus for retailers there by allowing for  them to be able to keep better track of inventory and making it easier with wall space ect. It also makes it much easier to start the game because you can walk up and get say 4 squad packs and the individuals you want for your army and spend maybe 100$. you dont need to buy 2 small 4 man squad packs, the lt, sgt, specialist, ect.  All you need is in one pack. You are able to order extra single figures from the online store under the accesories option of each pack. So if you want 4 of pose A and 2 of pose B then you can do that. (just a note! the figs are 4.50$ each if buying 1, when you buy 2 or more the price is reduced (economy of scale).
Not sure if i answered the question or just went a bit in depth with it. Sorry if i did. If orders are place online and are for an individual customer we ship them out in the plastic bags with bases and unit cards and P.o.P.
Retailers get them in the plastic clamshells labeled for retail sale.

Some times we will ship in clamshell depending on mini or size ect.

Hope that helps

Opps forgot to mention
If you buy through a retailer and want to order the single figs to beef out a squad you can place a bitz order with them. The retailer can set up an account online in the store and place all of their orders that way as well. Easy on all ends.  ;D We encourage you to support you local retailer but you can also order through the site.

I think it would be better if the unit cards weren't in the ziplock bag. Sometimes the minis scratch the card or it get's a bit bent and then it wont be as good for blind deployment.

I just laminated my cards and now I use overhead or similar wet erase markers to label them.

(but i cheat and use Army Builder for my stat and equipment lines)

At to the unit cards in the ziplock bags. They are bagged seperate from the minis. Usually its minis and bases in one bag, then unitcards ect in another.

I've gotten the cards both ways, in a bag of their own and bagged witht he minis. The first way is much better.
